It's definitely been a loooong time since I've shared one of my cards. Last year was a really tough year and I lost my creative mojo for what felt like forever. I've slowly been feeling more creative over the last couple of months and I'm going to try to start sharing more of my cards. I finally figured out an easier way to edit my pictures and I hope to one day learn how to make videos to share!
The card I'm sharing today was inspired by these cards by Jennifer McGuire and it was a lot of fun to make! I used squeezed lemonade, peacock feathers, and picked raspberry Distress Inks for the background. Then I brushed on PearlEx powdered pigments #673 Interference Violet while the ink was still wet just like Jennifer showed us in her video. I ran the cardstock through my Sizzix Big Shot with the Cricut Cuttlebug Modern Wallpaper embossing folder.
I cut the sentiment three times and glued them together for added dimension using the Brushstroke Birthday Greetings Die-namics from My Favorite Things. I added glitter to the letters using a Clear Zig Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush Pen. My pen is messed up though and it always spits out big gobs of glitter while I'm using it. I don't know what I did wrong when I opened it but it's done that since the first time I used it. You can see how much it spit out on the second "p" in happy. If anyone has any tips on how to fix my pen please let me know!
Well, that's the card for today! I hope you like it! I tried to show the sparkle and shine but, as you all know, pictures don't capture just how beautiful our cards are in person! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day! :-)
